I began my backyard iris and daylily business in 2006 in Fort Worth, Texas. I joined the American Iris Society, and I was jokingly warned I might catch the ‘iris virus’! Each year I added new iris… and looking back, I am sure I caught the love of these beautiful, fragrant flowers just as they warned! I outgrew my backyard gardens and in 2016, I slowly began moving my flowers to Rising Star Texas. The climate was different, so I had quite a learning curve. Now the gardens are completely moved with a few varieties needing to bloom so I can re-identify them. The 2024 iris bloom season is nearly here.
